ANP calls for extending country’s regular laws to FATA

BAJAUR: Parliamentary leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Sardar Hussain Babak has said that extension of fundamental rights under the Constitution to the tribal areas was necessary for  socio-economic development of the region. He was addressing a public meeting arranged by ANP local chapter in Salarzai area here Friday.

He said extension of country regular laws and regulation to the tribal areas was the need of the hour as the tribesmen were fed up with the current system.

He asked the party workers to accelerate their efforts to mobilize the people against FCR and in favor of FATA merger in to the province.

The ANP leader blamed the Jamaat Islami for be-fooling the tribal people and said that JI have no contribution for the welfare of tribal people.

A number of ANP provincial and local leaders including its provincial Deputy President Javid Yousafzai, Imran Afridi, Rokhan Yousafzai, Malik Attaullah Khan, Gul Afzal Khan,Maulana

addressed the meeting. The speakers vowed to speed up their efforts to make the Party popular and strong across the tribal areas.

The ANP leaders showed their anger over the delay in establishment of long waited Fata University in Bajaur Agency that was approved during the PPP government several years ago.

On the occasion scores of people, including tribal elders and workers of                various political parties, joined the ANP.
