Amir Khan allowed to leave Pakistan to perform Hajj

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi on Monday allowed senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Amir Khan, to leave the country for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.

The ATC today heard an application of Amir Khan and later directed Federal Interior Ministry and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take his name off the Exit Control List (ECL) to allow himto perform Hajj.

Besides, the court directed Amir Khan to submit security bonds of Rs.2 million as surety for a come back.

On June 30, Khan was released on bail in a case registered against him for allegedly providing shelter to 26 wanted suspects arrested by Rangers during raid on and around MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, in Azizabad on March 11.

Aamir Khan was also among those detained in the raid in a case pertaining to instigating terrorism and harbouring criminals.
