Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has hoped that Amir to do something special against England on Test return after serving five year ban.

Sachin said “He is a good bowler, has a huge amount of skill, and if he gets his rhythm right he can hopefully do something special.”

“I think those that decided to penalise him, have already done so. He has served his sentence, and now he is able to pay, “the Indian great said in an interview.

He further said “I’ve seen a couple of interviews of Amir, in which I find him much more mature and mentally strong.”

Giving his view on upcoming highly anticipated Test series between England and Pakistan, Sachin said it will a competitive and great series to watch.

Batsmen of both sides will be tested in the series, he added.

Pakistan always have a great bowling attack and this time it isn’t bad either, Tendulkar said. If Pakistan bat well in the series then it will be tough series for England.

Commenting on England captain Alastair Cook’s recent trump of 10,000 runs in Test cricket, Sachin said Cook has been a role model for many since his debut in Nagpur against India.

Cook has done really well so far and has been a great and inspirational leader for England, he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the high octane series between Pakistan and England will begin from July 14 at Lords with all eyes on Mohammad Amir who is returning to Test cricket after serving five year ban.
