ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s political secretary Shahbaz Gill has said that America is a super power and wants friendship with it.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Shahbaz Gill said that we have formulated a new doctrine of Pakistan, not a geo-strategic one but an economic one.

He said that if a country travels thousands of miles, what is our enmity with it, we will not fight anyone’s proxy war.

Shahbaz Gill said that America is a superpower, they want friendship with it, they will get it by sitting on the knees of a superpower, they do not want dictation but they want friendship from America like brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

He further said that our policy is being repeated that we have to fear superpowers, the policy is that we will trade wherever America says bravely, we do not want to call any country dead, we do not want any country to call us dead.

Shahbaz Gill said that the governor of SBP was doing his best job but he was fired.

Earlier, former special assistant Shahbaz Gill  has said that he has spent 13 years in the United States and he is not against the US.

Former special assistant Shahbaz Gill while talking to media said that the decision may be in our favour or against but we respect the court from the bottom of our hearts. The court ruled on no-trust, which left us disappointed, he said.

“Despite our disappointment, we accepted the court’s decision while I have been in the United States for 13 years and I am not against the United States,” he said.

Shahbaz Gul said that we can criticize US policy but we cannot hate its people. Despite spending a lot of time in the United States, I never met the American ambassador, so why did Raja Riaz needed to meet the American ambassador?, he said.

He said that the workers of every political party should respect the institutions and Raja Riaz himself had once told me that DC Faisalabad was not giving him time. Those who did not get time from DC had got time from US embassy, he questioned.

“I have lived in the US for 13 years but I have not met anyone for the last three years and I have not had to meet the Americans. We have not made any statement about the armed forces.”
