All set to celebrate Yum-e-Takbeer with national enthusiasm

PESHAWAR: Like elsewhere in the country, the people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Fata are all set to celebrate Youm-e-Takbeer with national zeal and fervour on Saturday to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the historic nuclear test at Chaghi Balochistan on May 28, 1998 that had made Pakistan 7th nuclear power of the world and first of the Muslim Ummah.

The day will dawn with special prayers for progress, peace and prosperity of the country and liberation of occupied territories of the Muslims world over.  Political, cultural and civil organizations have arranged special programs including awareness walks and rallies to highlight importance of the day.

Various ceremonies and seminars will be organized in which eminent scientists, intellectuals, poets, journalists, defense analysts and notable personalities will pay glowing tributes to the team of nuclear scientists and leadership of PML-N who raised Pakistan’s strategic status in the comity of nations and signified the principle of self-reliance.

PML-N KP will also celebrate the day in most befitting manner as its workers and leaders of the party will attend special gatherings and cake cutting ceremonies at various palces of KP and Fata would be the hallmark of the day.

PMLN has the distinction of making the decision to carry out nuclear tests at Chaghi during the second tenure of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as the country’s prime minister on May 28, 1998 following Indian nuclear tests and has made Pakistan defense impregnable.

PTV, Radio Pakistan and others television channels will also broadcast and telecast special programmes in connection with Youm-e

Takbeer besides special supplements by the newspapers.

Connents of defense analysts, journalists, educationists, and intellectuals would be broadcasted, while national songs in Urdu, regional and local language would be the hallmark of special programmes.

Talking to APP, Rushad MPA said Youm-e-Takbeer is an important day in nuclear history of the country and would be celebrated with full national enthusiasm. ” The nuclear test had not only made defence of Pakistan invincible but it also maintained balance of power in South Asia.”

Following Indian nuclear tests, he said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had taken a bold and principled decision to go for nuclear test despite immense foreign pressure and made Pakistan defense impregnable.  He said that no country can cast an evil eye on Pakistan following nuclear test.

Rushad Khan said special functions in connection with the day would hold in all districts and agencies headquarters where PML-N leaders would participate in different ceremonies in connection with the day. Awareness walks would also be held.
