Shehbaz demands Army Chief, DG ISI to bring evidence before nation if they committed treason

According to the Pakistani official, the security agencies did not reach the conclusion stated by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

It is to be mentioned here that Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that the US has a hand in overthrowing his government and in this regard he and the Deputy Speaker have claimed that the National Security Committee, the Army Chief and the Intelligence Chief had confirmed the conspiracy of overthrowing the government.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif has said that he demanded from Army Chief General Bajwa and DG ISI to bring evidence before the nation if we have committed treason.

Talking to media outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Shehbaz said, “We did not commit this crime. None of us committed this crime. We did not invite any foreign power. The issue should now be cleared.”

He said that he demanded from Army Chief General Bajwa and DG ISI that if we have committed treason then bring the evidence before the nation and the court.

“I have never spoken in such clear words, now I am also pleading with the court. We will demand through our lawyers that please review this matter and form a forum in which the matter is cleared,” he said.

“We have been demanding for three and a half years that this government is fake and the prime minister is also fake. When we moved a no-confidence motion, both constitutionally and legally, slogans of treason were raised,” he said.
