36-year-old Portugal captain scored two late headers, breaking and extending the record.
Earlier, he had a penalty saved by Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.
Ronaldo had broken the record of Iran’s Ali Daei, who scored 109 goals between 1993 and 2006.
The Portugal captain also equalled Sergio Ramos’ European record for men’s caps – with his 180th game.
