35 bn dollars energy projects to be signed during Chinese President’s visit

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that 35 billion dollars worth energy projects will be signed during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Islamabad on a two-day official visit on Monday. President Xi will also address the Joint Session of Parliament in Islamabad on Tuesday. Aziz has said that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit will open a new era of economic co-operation.

He said that Chinese investment companies will sign 35 billion dollars projects during the visit in energy sector. He said that these agreements would represent Pak-China friendship and joint vision.

During the visit President Xi Jinping will meet with President Mamnoon Hussain and hold official talks with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

In this visit Pakistan and China will sign a number of important agreements and MoUs relating to key development projects in infrastructure, energy, and communication sectors.

He said that the Chinese President visit would bring a better change in the region.
