PPP announces nationwide protests against inflation, rising fuel prices


LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party has announced nationwide protests over inflation and oil prices.

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said, in a statement, that on December 10, protests would be held in cities including Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar while main highways would be blocked.

Bilawal said that protests would also be organised against the gas shortage on December 17 at all district headquarters.

In addition, he said that on December 27, the next protest program will be unveiled in the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh rally.

It may be mentioned that the price of petrol has decreased globally, but prices of petrol and diesel are not decreased in Pakistan.
