Orphans are collective responsibility of society: Alkhidmat president


KARACHI: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Mohammad Shakoor has said that orphans are collective responsibility for the entire society and those who play an active role in this regard are doing a commendable job.

The NGO head expressed these views while visiting a newly built, state of the art orphanage, recently commissioned by Alkhidmat at Gulshan e Memar area in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, Shakoor said that Alkhidmat has been taking care of hundreds of orphans at its 17 Agosh Homes. Boarding, quality education, entertainment, food and other facilities are being provided at Agosh Homes.

He also hailed phelinthropists for supporting Alkhidmat in this holy cause and urged the masses to come forward and join hands with Alkhidmat to support orphans.

Earlier, the president conducted a detailed visit to the facility. He expressed his satisfaction over the state of affairs and directed the staffers and volunteers to maximize their efforts to make the children an asset for the society in the future.

On the occasion, the Alkhidmat president held a meeting with the management of Usman Public School to discuss the issue of education and future plans for the children at the facility.

The president also interacted with the children and spent a good time along with them.

Alkhidmat’s Tariq Mehfooz, Musab Khalid, Abdul Rehman Fida, Sufyan Ahmed, Arash Kamal and others accompanied the president during the visit.
