Govt committee to hold talks with TLP today


ISLAMABAD: On the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, a government committee will hold talks with the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan in Lahore today.

Earlier, the prime minister discussed the situation arisen after the TLP protests and march over telephone with Religious Minister Noorul Haq Qadri.

The religious minister has reached Lahore from Karachi to hold the talks, which will also be joined by Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, who was called back home from Dubai this morning by the prime minister keeping in view the prevailing law and order situation arisen following the TLP march and protests.

The committee, which include Noorul Haq Qadri, Sheikh Rasheed and Raja Basharat will talk to the TLP leadership on their demands and ongoing protests.
