ISLAMABAD: The Petroleum Division has proposed increase in the prices of petroleum products on Saturday.
It recommended to increase the price of petrol by Rs50 paisas and diesel by Rs2.50 per litre.
The Ministry of Finance has received the suggestions sent by the Petroleum Division.
Sources said that it has been recommended to increase the price of high speed diesel by Rs2.50 per liter and petrol by Rs50 paise per liter.
It is proposed to increase the prices of light diesel and kerosene by Rs1 each per liter.
The final decision on price hike will be taken by the Finance Ministry after consultation with the prime minister.
The new prices of petroleum products will be implemented from August 16.
