President Biden hasn’t called PM Imran on Afghan issue, Moeed complains US media

WASHINGTON: National Security Adviser Moeed Yousaf has raised the issue of US President Joe Biden’s avoidance to call Prime Minister Imran Khan on Afghan issue.

In an interview with a US magazine at the US Embassy in Washington, Moeed Yousaf said that it was unreasonable not to call the Prime Minister of a major country like Pakistan on the Afghan issue.

He said that every time it is said that a call will be made, for some technical reason or something else, the truth is that they no longer trust him, if there is any exception to the phone call or security relationship, then Pakistan also has options.

The magazine quoted senior US officials as saying that US President Joe Biden had not yet called any world leader and that Prime Minister Imran Khan would be called in due course.
