Funeral prayers offered for Daily Ummat’s Chief Editor Rafiq Afghan

KARACHI: Daily Ummat’s Chief Editor Rafiq Afghan passed away on Monday after brief illness.

His funeral prayers were offered at Al-Fatah Mosque near Kidney Hill.

Jamaat-e-Islami, Sindh, Ameer Muhammad Hussain Mehanti prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif voiced grief and sorrow over the demise of Rafiq Afghan. He added that the Afghan had carried forward the mission of Shaheed Salahuddin.

The PML-N president said that Rafiq Afghan was a committed journalist who loved Pakistan. He made an addition of a new daily in Pakistani journalism.
