UK’s Boris Johnson cancels India visit over surge in Covid-19 cases


LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has cancelled his scheduled visit to India in the wake of surge in the coronavirus cases in the south Asian county.

According to the British media, Boris Johnson has cancelled his scheduled trip to New Delhi over rise in coronavirus cases in the country.

It maybe mentioned here that India has been reporting daily over 500,000 cases for the last five days. Hospitals in New Delhi are facing shortage of beds for the coronavirus patients.

The total number of people infected from the deadly virus has reached 15 million in India.
