Rasheed says no talks under way with banned Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Shiekh Rasheed Ahmed has said that no talks were under way with the banned Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).

Speaking to the media during his visit to ‘Sasta Bazaar’ here on Sunday, the interior minister said that the banned TLP had initially blocked 192 points but now only Yateek Khana Chowk is blocked.

Rasheed denied any talks were being held with the banned TLP.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had issued an important statement on the Namoos-e-Risalat (PBUH) yesterday in which he had warned that no attempt to disrespect Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would be tolerated, the interior minister recalled.

Rasheed said that the TLP would be dissolved till April 20. Bank accounts, national identity cards and passports of the TLP officer bearers will be blocked, he added.
