SC suspends LHC order banning sale of petrol to bikers without helmets

LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) has suspended the High Court order banning the supply of petrol to motorcyclists without helmets.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court suspended the order of the single bench of the High Court.

DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz Malik and CTO Lahore Syed Hamad appeared before the Supreme Court Lahore Registry.

The petitioner took the position that DC Lahore has issued a notification not to supply petrol to those who do not wear helmets. Supreme Court declares DC Lahore’s notification null and void.

Justice Manzoor Malik queried that if a person goes to the restaurant without a handkerchief and a basket, he will not get bread?
