Three bills moved by opposition rejected in NA

Islamabad: In the National Assembly, three important opposition bills on the implementation of women’s inheritance rights and the transfer of judges and privileges from the Ministry of Law to the concerned Chief Justices and recovery of missing persons were rejected.

The opposition could not be allowed to discuss the increase in the price of electricity by Rs1.95.

The Deputy Speaker promised to hold a discussion at the end of the meeting and then adjourned the meeting till Friday.

The National Assembly overwhelmingly rejected a bill to amend the constitution on women’s inheritance rights. Parliamentary Law Secretary Malaika Bukhari acknowledged that women in Pakistan are not getting inheritance rights.
