LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan founder, Islamist thinker and prolific author Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi’s 41st death anniversary is being marked today.
Maulana Maududi, a journalist, jurist, politician and philosopher, was one of the greatest Islamic scholar of 20th century. He influenced millions of Muslims across the world by his religio-political activism and writings.
He not only waged a struggle to transform Pakistan into an Islamic state but also worked hard with the Muslim movements across the world to bring betterment in their respective countries.
Maulana Maududi has been described by many independent historians as one of the most powerful Islamic ideologues of the 20th century.
