Police Martyrs Day being observed today

KARACHI: The Police Martyrs ‘Day is being observed across the country today (Tuesday) to pay homage to martyred policemen.

Karachi Police has also released an anthem on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day.

The main event of Police Martyrs’ Day will be held at the Garden Headquarters. The event will be attended by the families of the martyrs including senior police officers.

According to a police spokesman, police will set up blood donation camps in different districts of the city. Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon will also donate blood.

The spokesman said that the lights of the city are the fruit of the martyrdom of the policemen. The police force has made an everlasting history of martyrdom.

Karachi Police have displayed banners and pictures of martyrs at various places in the city. Memorials have also been erected in variois cities including Karachi to pay homage to the martyrs.

Meanwhile, the Railways Police will hold a special ceremony to pay tribute to the police martyrs today at the Cant Station.

On the occasion, the families of the martyred policemen of Pakistan Railways will be presented gifts.
