KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched an inquiry against PTI’s central vice-president and parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh for selling government land.
In this connection, the anti-graft watchdog has written a letter to the deputy commissioner of Malir, seeking a record of illegally selling of 253 acres of government land. NAB has also sought details of the farm house owned by the PTI leader.
A local TV citing NAB claimed that the letter disclosed that Sheikh had illegally occupied/sold 253 acres of government land located in Malir District in connivance with the officers/officials of the respective Board of Revenue.
NAB has directed the DC Malir to submit the record with details including ownership title/documents of Country Chalet Farm Houses Project, Deh Kharkaro, ownership title/documents of Palm Village Resorts Project by July 27.
According to the letter, an anti-corruption department had already conducted an inquiry against the PTI MPA.
