KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Human Settlement Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has died from coronavirus at a private hospital here on Tuesday.
In a message posted on Twitter, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said:”Haji Ghulam Murtaza Baloch, our colleague in Sindh Cabinet has passed away today. He was suffering from Covid-19. He was a genuine political worker and a very polite and humble human being. May Allah SWT bless his soul.”

Ghulam Murtaza Baloch was elected to the Sindh Assembly in 2018 from PS-88 (Malir II).
Former president and PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other party leaders have expressed their grief and sorrow over the death of Ghulam Murtaza Baloch.
Baloch is the second Pakistani lawmaker who had died from the coronavirus. Last month, PTI’s Punjab Assembly member Shaheeh Raza had lost battle against the virus.
