ISTANBUL: Mosques in Turkey are set to resume congregational prayers after about two-month restrictions from tomorrow (Friday).
The mosques were closed in response to coronavirus pandemic on March 16.
Initially, Zuhr, Asr and Friday prayers would be offered in congregation. Howvere, the Maghrib, Isha and Fajr prayers are not allowed to offer in congregation.
Yusuf Serenli , the Imam at the Selimiye Mosque has said that the Friday prayers would be offered in the yards of mosques. However, the Zuhr and Asr prayers would be held inside mosques. He added that the social distancing would be strictly observed during the prayers.
The Imam said that the citizens have been requested to bring their own prayer rugs and prayer beads.
