Pakistanis show trust in Al Khidmat by generous donations during Live Telethon

Karachi: Donations worth millions of rupees had been collected during the Live Telethon of Al Khidmat Karachi.

The event was organised at the main office of Al Khidmat.

Pakistanis living abroad gave donations generously, showing trust in Al Khidmat.

During the live calls, they appreciated  the relief work of Al Khidmat across the country.

On the occasion, Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed announced to sponsor 10 orphans under the Al Khidmat project “Kafalat Yatamaa”.

Sarfaraz said:” I have been witnessing the Al Khidmat serving the nation since my chillldhood.”

Umair Sana Foundation chief Dr Saqib Ansari and Naveed Ali Baig announced Rs500, 000.

Those participated in the live telethon included Arts Council of Pakistan President Ahmed Shah, director PharmEvo, renowned neurologist Dr Wasay Shakir, Al Khidmat Diagnostic Centre Project Director Dr Naila Tariq, Indus Hospital’s Radiology head Dr Kashif Shazli, Gulshan Iqbal UC chairman Junaid Makati, child specialist Dr Kashif Ansari and others.

Jamaat e Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman thanked to all the philanthropists.

He said that the “Sasti Roti Project” would be expanded in the city after the Eidul Fitr.

He said that the state-of-the-art Corona Diagnostic Lab was being established, where all the expensive tests including MRI and CT Scan would be available at low rates. The diagnostic laboratory will be set up at a cost of Rs250 million.
