Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday observed that the order of opening of shopping malls on Saturday and Sunday had been given in the wake of the Eid.

Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed hearing a suo moto case regarding coronavirus said that the situation would be reviewed after the Eid.

He remarked that our concerns are over the standard of services being provided to masses and not on the expenses. Test reports of suspected patients come positive from government laboratories while the same come negative from private ones. The same happened with the employees of the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry.

Shocking videos have emerged from the quarantine centres of Lahore and Islamabad in which patients were requesting expatriates to prefer getting died abroad rather returning Pakistan.

The CJ observed that a large number of people were seen sitting together at these centres. What type of quarantine is this?

He added there was no cleanliness at these centres.
