Indian PM Modi hosts Chinese president to summit with ties strained by occupied Kashmir


NEW DELHI: India is hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping for an informal summit to be held in Chennai on Oct 11, the Indian foreign ministry said on Wednesday.

The meeting in Chennai is being planned with the view to improve relationship between the two leaders.

China, a close ally of Pakistan also strongly condemned India over its decision of withdrawing special status from occupied Kashmir on Aug 5.
