BDS defuses 15kg bomb in Peshawar’s market

PESHAWAR: Peshawar was saved from a major terror bid on Monday after a 15kg bomb was defused by by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) personnel.

The terrorists while targeting Karkhano market placed the bomb in a carton box and planted it on a fruit cart.

The people after observing the suspected box informed the police who called the BDS officials. They immediately reached the scene and defused the bomb. Police say that the bomb weighed15kg and was remote-controlled.

Jamrud Road was closed for traffic while defusing the bomb. Many bombs were also recovered in the past year from the same market.
