LAHORE: Pakistan women tennis team will leave for Thailand on April 9 to feature in the Asia Oceania Fed Cup Group 2 competition being played from April 11 at Hua Hin.
Pak team comprises Ushna Suhail, Sara Mansoor, and Sara Mahboob, Inamul Haq is the captain, said a spokesman of Pakistan Tennis Federation here on Wednesday.
“As many as eleven nations of Asia including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, Pacific Oceania, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Bahrain are taking part in the five-day competition in which matches will be played on hard courts,” he said.
The participating teams will be divided into two pools and the draws to determine the pools will take place in the presence of team captain on April 10.
“Our team members are currently participating in 2nd Modern Club Founder members National Grade one Championship in Karachi to give final touches to their preparations to put up decent fight in the event,” he said.
