Widespread rain expected across Pakistan next 24 hours


ISLAMABAD: Widespread rain-thundershower is expected in Islamabad, Punjab,Sindh, D.I Khan, Hazara, Malakand divisions, upper FATA and Kashmir, while at scattered places in eastern Balochistan.

According to Met Office, the areas that will recieve rain are Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, Multan divisions.

In Sindh, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad divisions,Zhob, Sibbi, Kalat, Nasirabad divisions), Bannu, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Sargodha divisions and lower FATA. Scattered heavy falls are expected in Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, Multan, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Larkana, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad divisions.

Rain-thundershower is also expected at isolated places in Karachi division and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Strong monsoon currents are penetrating into southern parts of the country and expected to continue during next 2 to 3 days.

Moderate monsoon currents are also penetrating in upper parts of the country and likely to continue in coming days.
