RIYADH: As many as five Pakistani nationals on Saturday have been reported killed as fire engulfed a flat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to the country’s civil defense department , the fire engulfed the flat situated near Alnazeem area of Riyadh due to short circuit.
Due to the fire may people were struck in the flats and an operation was carried out to rescue the people but the operation faced intensive hindrance due to the intensity of the fire.
A dozens of fire fighters took part in the operation. The civil defense department said that they tried their best to evacuate the people from the building, however five people were killed in the fire.
While others were rescued from the building.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and expressed his grief over the causalities.
