Youhanabad suicide attack’s suspect arrested in Lahore


LAHORE:  An intelligence agency on Wednesday arrested a suspect in a raid involved in the suicide attack at Youhannabad.

The agency  raided a house in Bhatta Chowk of Lahore and apprehended Abid Baig Muaviya, a suspect of the bombings at two churches in Lahore’s Youhanabad.

The arrested person was shifted to an undisclosed location for investigation.

The suspect, a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan, has been suspected of facilitating the suicide bombers in attacks on churches.

Two bomb attacks were carried out outside two churches, about half a mile apart in Youhanabad.

The terror attacks sparked violent protests by the Christians in Lahore.

Amid the protests against bombings in Lahore the protesters had lynched two innocent passersby alive.
