Technology company Meta has announced to allow users to link their WhatsApp accounts with Facebook and Instagram.
The tech company is introducing a feature for users to add WhatsApp to the Meta Accounts Center (the company’s main hub) and other Meta App profiles (including other social media apps and virtual reality headsets quest) can be added and managed.
Adding WhatsApp to the Accounts Center will be optional and the default setting will be off, while private WhatsApp messages and calls will remain end-to-end encrypted, Meta said.
In a blog post, Meta said that using the linkup tool, users will be able to easily share WhatsApp statuses as Facebook and Instagram stories. Also, users will be able to easily log back when needed.
The feature will be gradually rolled out to users globally over the coming weeks and months.
