US beat Bangladesh in second T20I to win series

The US beat Bangladesh by 6 runs outclassing Tigers in the second T20I as well and took a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

The Bangladesh team are currently on a tour of the United States as part of preparation for the T20 World Cup.

The hosts once again outclassed the visiting team and defeated them in the second T20 match as well.

In the match played at Houston, the US scored 144 runs for six wickets while batting first. Monanik Patel hit 42 runs, Erin Jones 35 and Steven Taylor scored 31 runs.

For Bangladesh, Irshad Hussain, Sharaful Islam and Mustafizur Rehman took two wickets each.

In response to the target of 145 runs, the Bangladesh team was bowled out for 138 runs in the final over. Najamul Hussain scored 36 runs while Shakibul Hasan made 30. The US defeated Bangladesh by 6 runs in the second T20I, taking 2-0 lead in the series.

For America, Ali Khan took 3 wickets for 25 runs, Saurabh and Shedley dismissed two players each.

It should be noted that the United States had defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets in the first T20 match of the series. The United States had won its first victory against the ICC T20 top ten ranking team.

The third T20 between the two teams will be played on May 25.
