LAHORE: Junior Selection Committee Chairman and Peshawar Zalmi’s Batting Consultant Wicketkeeper Batter Kamran Akmal has announced his retirement from regular Test cricket.
Talking to the media at the National Stadium Karachi after the franchise’s first practice session for the 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he said that everyone has to retire one day. Can’t play cricket anymore due to new responsibilities. Will be able to play, will play a bit of cricket whenever I get a chance, being a selector and coaching is a new role.
Kamran Akmal said that I still had enough cricket left. To get into the national team, I have to play domestic cricket and show performance.
