Nawaz Sharif appeals party workers to come out for protection of Constitution

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Quaid Nawaz Sharif has directed the party leadership to begin a mass mobilisation campaign for next election.

The former prime minister issuing political instructions to his political team in Lahore asked the party members to start preparing for general elections, and confront the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allies in the public.

Nawaz Sharif held a series of online meetings with his party leaders and instructed them to speed up their political activities before the vote of confidence in Punjab, sources said.

It has been decided that the Governor’s House and State Guest House would be used to have public meetings. Federal ministers would also hold khuli kacheris  to hear public problems and on-the-spot orders to solve them.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also asked to engage with his allies to find a solution to stop the PTI from dissolving the Punjab Assembly. In this regard, the prime minister had recently contacted former president Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the political situation with him.

Yesterday, Nawaz Sharif also contacted Asif Zardari to remove the concerns of MQM and the federal government’s delegation will reach Karachi today on the instructions of Nawaz Sharif.

According to responsible sources, Asif Zardari’s mobilization for political manipulation has the full support of the ruling coalition.

3 members of Balochistan Assembly Mir Zahoor Bilidi, Mir Arif Jan Mohammad Hosni, Mir Salim Khoso and Mir Nimatullah Zehri of PTI, after meeting with Zardari, joining the People’s Party as a very unusual event in terms of future politics. is being given.

It is agreed that in the past political changes started from Balochistan, while this time also 4 elected members of the Provincial Assembly have joined the People’s Party from Balochistan.

On Sunday, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), an ally of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), on Sunday threatened to quit the ruling coalition government in the Centre and kick off protests if “fresh delimitation” of constituencies for local body polls is not conducted in Karachi and Hyderabad ahead to January 15.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had announced that local government (LG) elections would take place on January 15 in Karachi and Hyderabad.

The MQM-P Rabita Committee meeting, headed by its convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, decided to adopt a strict stance over the delimitation issue and a non-serious attitude of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government in Sindh. The meeting also deliberated on various steps including protests and conveying its grievances to the federal government.

Addressing a press conference following the Rabita Committee huddle, the MQM-P convener urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to fulfil his promises made with the party.

“We will be compelled to hold the protest if our grievances are not redressed,” he announced.
