ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a separate application for quick decision on the foreign funding cases of PML-N and other parties including Pakistan People’s Party.

PTI leader and former minister of state Farrukh Habib filed a separate petition in an already pending case in which the Election Commission has been made a party.

It has been stated in the petition that the Election Commission failed to hear the case of prohibited funding of other parties like PTI. Other political parties were given an opportunity to take political advantage of the false report against PTI, such tactics are against democracy and a direct attack.

The petition further stated that fundamental rights of PTI and its members are being violated. Important questions raised in the petition should be decided to protect democracy.

In the petition, it is requested to direct the Election Commission to conduct daily hearing of prohibited funding cases of PML-N, PPP and other parties.
