Imran Khan’s playing will not matter, decision will not change: Abbasi

No contact made with Tareen and Aleem Khan group: Khaqan Abbasi

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Imran Khan’s playing will not make a difference and the decision will not change.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while speaking on a local TV show, said that President Alvi has not fulfilled his constitutional responsibilities in the past, so the government wants that if there is any gap left in the important appointment, it should be filled.

He said that the President is bound by the recommendation of the Prime Minister, once the summary is given, there can be no other opinion on it.

He said that the Army Chief has admitted the mistakes and has tried to give direction to the incoming military leadership.  I am confident that there will be no more unconstitutional interference,he added.

Meanwhile, Qamar Zaman Kaira, a senior leader of the People’s Party, has said that if the President has the authority to stop the summary for 15 days, then we will also be thinking of some way to deal it.

Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the most senior officer may be given temporary command of the army, or the Prime Minister may temporarily ask the current chief to continue working.

Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Imran Khan played with the cipher, played with the Pakistani economy and played with the agreement with the IMF.

On Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that whoever is appointed as the army chief by Nawaz Sharif would become controversial from the day one.

In an interview with a local TV,  Imran said that individual would become man of Nawaz Sharif.

The PTI chief said that he does not doubt credibility of whoever would be appointed the army chief. He added that he is rather suspicious of intentions of those who would appoint the army chief.
