Loadshedding will increase further in July, PM fears

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif signaled further increase in load shedding in July.

Addressing the National Assembly members of the coalition parties, the Prime Minister said that the people are facing inflation, the rich are expected to collect more than Rs 200 billion, Pakistan has escaped bankruptcy, very soon the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement is about to be signed.

The Prime Minister further said that the strict conditions of IMF were accepted by the PTI government, load shedding may increase in July, we have not got gas planes for July but we are trying.

He further said that coal has become very expensive in the world, billions of dollars are spent on coal import from Pakistan, coal will start coming from Afghanistan inshallah, coal import from Afghanistan will save about 2 billion dollars. We will buy coal from Afghanistan not in dollars but in rupees.

The Prime Minister said that challenges will come but we will continue to move forward and problems will be solved, we will provide technical assistance, investment and trade from friendly countries, the era of Kashkool will end, a new era will come, the coalition government must bring change.
