KARACHI: More than 500 motorcycles, buses, rickshaws and several vehicles belonging to Case Properties were burnt to ashes due to a horrific fire in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.
According to the fire brigade officials, the fire started in the bushes near Gulshan-e-Iqbal Aziz Bhatti Park and it also engulfed the vehicles under Nazarat.
Nazarat is the place where goods such as motorcycles, buses, trucks, vehicles and rickshaws and other goods are kept in the case properties and are brought to the court as and when required.
Authorities say the fire has been contained and cooling is under way, with the first attempt to secure nearby flats being successful.
Authorities say more than 500 motorcycles, a bus, two rickshaws and more than two dozen vehicles were completely reduced to ashes in the fire.
