ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the coalition parties chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has decided that the government will complete its constitutional term by August 2023.

The meeting of the allies chaired by the Prime Minister considered the political and economic situation of the country and important decisions were taken.

According to sources, the meeting decided that the government would complete its constitutional term by August 2023. Sources said that the decision to complete the constitutional term has been taken to revive the devastated economy.

The meeting also considered the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the interpretation of Article 63A. According to sources, it was decided in the meeting that immediate legal opinion should be taken on the decision of the Supreme Court and electoral reforms for the next election should be completed soon.

The meeting was also attended by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Asif Zardari, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Prime Ministers Nazir Tarar, Khawaja Asif, Saad Rafique and Maryam Aurangzeb.
