ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said he has asked Saudi Arabia not to withdraw money from the SBP this year.
Addressing the press conference, Miftah Ismail said that there were many positive things during the visit to Saudi Arabia which will come to light in time. They have responded favorably to our request.
He said that the fastest budget deficit in history was during the PTI era. Imran Khan’s government has also set a record of corruption. Imran Khan has laid mines in the economy.
Miftah Ismail said that today sugar is available at the cheapest price in the country after 2019. The price of sugar in utility stores has been reduced to Rs70 while 20 kg flour bag has been reduced from Rs1200 to Rs800.
The finance minister said that Imran Khan’s government borrowed Rs20,000 billion which is 80% of the budget. Why did Shehzad Akbar turn a blind eye to the tax evasion of Sugar Mills?
