Pakistan wants to strengthen relations with Russia, Shehbaz writes letter to Putin

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wants to further strengthen bilateral relations with Russia.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has written a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin

Sources said that in the reply letter, the prime minister thanked President Putin for his congratulatory message. The letter said that Pakistan wanted to further strengthen bilateral relations with Russia.

According to the text of the letter, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan would like to accompany Russia on the issue of Afghanistan.

It may be recalled that the Russian president had written a letter to Shehbaz Sharif last week congratulating him on his election as prime minister.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif had expressed anger over the increase in loadshedding in the country and ordered a significant reduction in loadshedding by May.

According to a local TV, PML-N President and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued strict instructions to take steps on emergency basis to reduce loadshedding.

He has clearly said that efforts should be made to save the citizens from the inconvenience caused by the negligence of the previous government and the interim measures should be improved till oil and gas is arranged.

Shehbaz said that till the people get rid of this torment, he will not sit idle.

He said that Nawaz Sharif had provided ample amount of surplus power in the country but Imran government had not added a new unit.

Criticizing the former prime minister, he said that fuel was not procured in time and factories were not repaired. Nation has to pay Rs100 billion every month as a price for the past government’s blunder.

According to the TV, Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif said that earlier an LNG ship was available for Rs6 billion but now the LNG ship is costing the nation Rs20 billion.

Mian Shehbaz Sharif warned that this tyranny of Imran would cost the nation more than Rs500 billion this year. A conspiracy was hatched to destroy the energy sector and bankrupt the economy, he said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered to ensure foolproof security of former prime minister Imran Khan.
