If we have to choose one, we will save democracy instead of govt: MQM-P

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that we have taken the responsibility of saving democracy not the government.

Addressing the General Workers Meeting of MQM Pakistan in Karachi on Sunday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that if one has to choose between the government and democracy then democracy will be saved. The situation is changing day by day.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that PML-N and PPP have been tested, PTI is also being tested, the present government has not fulfilled many promises. PPP’s experience has not been good, the PML-N has a bitter experience but there are also some good memories like Hyderabad University got funds and K4 and Green Line projects were started.

Criticizing the PPP, Khalid Maqbool said that they have not left their option for us but talks are going on to demand their rights. The delegation will go for a meeting tomorrow.
