KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived here on Wednesday on a one-day visit.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and federal ministers also accompanying the prime minister who arrived by helicopter that landed at the National Stadium.

Later, the prime minister went straight to Bahadurabad, the temporary headquarters of MQM Pakistan, where he was received by the MQM leadership.

Sources said that strict security arrangements were being made before the arrival of Prime Minister Imran Khan at the MQM Pakistan headquarters in Bahadurabad and the security staff has also searched several members of the assembly.

Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend an Ehsaas program event at the National Stadium. Besides, PTI members of Sindh Assembly and party leaders will call on the prime minister at the Governor House.

Earlier, for the first time, the PML-Q has signaled to review its support to the PTI government.

PML-Q MNAs Moonis Elahi and Tariq Bashir Cheema had a second meeting with three ministers yesterday.

The PML-Q leaders made it clear that if 15 to 20 members of PTI joined the opposition by crossing the floor, then it would be difficult for them to support the government in future. We will be forced to join the opposition, they added.

According to sources, on the shocking stance of the PML-Q leaders, the three PTI ministers said that they accept their stance and if our members change allegiances then they will not stop them.

The sources said that in a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister two days ago, Tariq Bashir Cheema had said that if PTI members leave government then they will have to accept the offer of the opposition.

Earlier today, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan has warned that the assembly membership of PTI MNAs would be terminated if they vote on the no-confidence motion.
