Opener Abid Ali discharged from hospital after angioplasty procedures

LAHORE: Pakistan opening batsman Abid Ali, who was suffering from heart disease, has been discharged from the hospital.

According to sources, doctors have advised Abid Ali to have bed rest for two months.

The 34-year-old player was immediately shifted to the hospital due to chest pain during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match.

A statement by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Abid Ali was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome which caused him to have angioplasty twice.

According to Abid Ali’s father, he is recovering fast and is feeling better.
