JI to hold protest rally today in Karachi against blasphemous sketches

KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a protest rally “Namoos-e-Risalat” (PBUH) against the publication of blasphemous sketches in France here on Sunday.

The rally would start from the Mazar-e-Quaid and terminate at the Sea Breeze.

The rally, which will start at 4pm, will be addressed by JI Naib Ameer Asadullah Bhutto and JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman.

On Wednesday, the Jamaat-e-Islami, Karachi, had organised a protest demonstration at the Karachi’s Teen Talwar area against the blasphemous caricatures in France.

A large number of people from all walks of life took part in the protest that strongly condemned France for initiating an anti-Islam campaign.

The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans condemning France for unleashing anti-Islam campaign.

They also torched an effigy of French President Emmanuel Macron.
