Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Pothohar region is the best region for cannabis production and the government will now cultivate cannabis itself.
In a statement on Wednesday, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Ministry of Science and Technology has largely met the priorities set at the outset.
He said that efforts are being made to make Islamabad the first city where all public transport is run on electric. Two companies have started a 50 million project of electric buses, 120 electric buses will be imported this year.
Fawad Chaudhry said that next year electric buses will be assembled in Pakistan, we will be able to generate renewable energy in 10 years. We will be generating our own electricity and our own batteries in the next 10 years.
“Yesterday we got a license to use cannabis plants for industrial purposes,” he added.
