Karachi: Due to low air pressure near the Indian state of Rajasthan, light to heavy rains are expected in Karachi till Sunday.
Director Meteorological Department Abdul Qayyum Bhutto said that the low pressure in Rajasthan is moving towards the west, adding the monsoon system is entering the eastern Sindh under the influence of turf.
He said that under this monsoon system, thundershowers are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and other districts on August 21 and 22.
The Met official said that rain is also likely in Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot and Sanghar.
He added that Karachi will receive moderate to heavy rains, which may continue till Sunday.
He further said that the city is likely to receive upto 40mm of rain.
