Bolan: Floods caused by rains in Balochistan’s Bolan district swept away two gas pipelines coming from Shikarpur to Quetta.
According to the spokesman of Sui Southern Gas Company, two pipelines of 24 and 12 inch diameter were washed away by the floods in Bibi Nani area of Bolan district on Saturday.
Gas supply to Mastung, Kalat, Pishin and Ziarat was suspended due to sweeping away of pipelines while gas pressure also decreased in Quetta.
According to the spokesman, repair work on the pipelines will begin once the situation improves.
On the other hand, due to the flood situation in Balochistan, the health department has declared an emergency at all the hospitals in the province.
