Islamabad: Approval has been given to appoint six members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) media cell in the digital media wing of the Federal Ministry of Information.
A local TV citing sources said that these six members of PTI Media Cell will be posted in MP-2 and 3 scale and they have been appointed in the digital media wing without appearing in the competitive examination against huge salaries.
Imran Ghazali has been posted as MP 2 and his post will be equivalent to Grade 21 while those who have been posted in MP 3 include Usman bin Zaheer, Muzammil Hassan, Shahbaz Khan, Naeem Ahmed Yaseen and Saeeda Dhanak Hashmi.
The sources said that all these people were running the social media cell of PTI. They had presented the PTI narrative on social media in the general elections of 2013 and 2018.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Information says that the digital media wing was approved by the Prime Minister in December 2019, while the recruitment procedure was approved by the Prime Minister in April 2020.
